The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Supervisor Slucter with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Rumsey moved and Slucter
seconded to amend the agenda, adding Board of Water and Light Water Service
Agreement for Lot #5 of Harvest Park at the end of New Business. Carried 7-0.
Rumsey moved and Slucter
seconded to approve the agenda as amended.
Carried 7-0.

moved and Piper seconded to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as written.
Carried 7-0.
Reports:
Sheriff’s Report: None
Planning Commission: 1) Renewed two Special Use Permits. 2) Scheduled a Public Hearing for Change of Zoning request. 3) Continued to work on the updating of the zoning ordinance/master plan.
Sewer Board: 1) Discussed the Operators Report which included a broken pipe needing to be replaced. 2) Approved plan to set up formal process for replacement of parts, mechanisms, equipment, etc. ahead of State’s scheduled DEQ approved system. 3) Changed By-laws to allow for a consent agenda.
Emergency Service Department: Chief Miller reported 1) In the early morning hours of May 17th, assisted Charlotte Fire Department on a structure fire as part of the Eaton County Tanker Task Force. Our tanker shuttled 56 loads and over 150,000 gallons of water. 2) The 2007 Ambulance, unit 171, is currently in for repair with fuel issues. 3) As previously reported, a semi-truck roll over on the ramp from south bound Lansing Rd onto South bound I69 happened on March 24th. The driver was extricated and transported with critical injuries. The driver has been released from the hospital & rehab and will be at the Emergency Services meeting on June 1st to say thank you to the crews that worked to save his life. Dan Shroyer (Shroyer Towing) is being included as he was on scene ready to help lift the truck if we were unable to get driver freed.
Assessor/Preston Community Services: None
Library: 1) Will be installing new Story Walk in downtown Dimondale this week, sponsored by the Family Dental Care of Dimondale. 2) Doing a brisk business in WiFi hot spots and lending Eaton County Park passes & Potter Park Zoo passes. 3) Working on summer reading plans and have a kickoff event scheduled with Potter Park Zoo on June 23rd. 4) Still working on reopening plan.
Supervisor’s Report: 1) In conversations with the Village of Dimondale on the possibility of having a Memorial Day Parade sometime during the Independence Day Holiday. The date of Monday, July 5th has been suggested. The township board is in favor of the idea. 2) A preliminary agreement has been made on cleaning up trash and installing a privacy fence at a building in Westland Park (previously Aim High). 3) A public regional meeting for Michigan Redistricting 2021 is scheduled for Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Lansing Center, doors open at 4 pm and meeting starts at 6 pm.
Public Officials: Ralph Reznick announces there will be a Memorial Service, a tribute to the fallen, on Monday, May 31st at 11:00 am, broadcasting virtually on the Village of Dimondale and Dimondale Community Facebook pages.

requirements have been met. Rumsey moved and Pray seconded to approve
one (1) Class A Medical Marihuana and one (1) Class C Adult-Use Marihuana Grower
Facility Permits for Premier Meds.

application was reviewed for New Genetics Medical and Adult-Use Marihuana Grow

Myers seconded to approve two (2) Class C Medical and two (2) Class C Adult-Use
Marihuana Grower Facility Permits.

Discussion
was held on the renewal of Lake Life Farms Medical Marihuana Grow and
Processing Permits. Renewal application
was submitted and reviewed. Slucter moved and Piper seconded to approve
the renewal of Lake Life Farms one (1) Class C Grower and one (1) Processor
Medical Marihuana Facility Permits.

Peak Industries submitted application for renewal of Medical Marijuana and Adult-Use
Marijuana Class C Grower Facility and Processor Facility permits. Joe Neller introduce Nathan Kark as the new
Director of Government Affairs. As Green
Peak Industries has met the requirements, Slucter
moved and Rumsey seconded to approve their renewal of eight (8) Class C Grower
and one (1) Processor Medical Marihuana Facility Permits as well as the five
(5) Class C Grower and one (1) Processor Adult-Use Facility Marihuana Permits.

Approved Renewal of Green Peak Industries Marihuana
Facility Permits: 7-0-0.
Discussion
was held on the Supplemental Agreement No. 10 to Water Service Agreement with
the Lansing Board of Water and Light (BWL).
The purpose of this supplemental agreement is to extend water service to
Lot #5 of Harvest Park. Pray moved and Piper seconded to approve
Supplemental Agreement No. 10 to Water Service agreement with the Lansing Board
of Water and Light and to authorize Supervisor and Clerk to sign
agreement. Carried 7-0.
