WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION

REGULAR MEETING

Chairperson Holtz called the regular meeting of the Windsor Charter Township Planning Commission to order at 7:00 p.m.

 

Present: Holtz, Johnson, Pray, Sabourin, Bowen, and Pisano

Absent:  Fabijancic

Also Present:  Planning Consultant Peter Preston, Supervisor Shaw, and Clerk Barnhart-Smith

 

Johnson moved, and Sabourin seconded, to approve the agenda as written. The motion carried unanimously.

 

Bowen moved, and Johnson seconded, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as written. The motion carried unanimously.

 

Reports:

      Township Board: 1) Appointed members to the Appeal Board. 2) There has been discussion on purchasing additional REUs. 3) Adjusted the   4) Community Clean Up Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2024.  Volunteers are needed.

New Business:

 

The annual review was conducted for Fresh Coast Cannabis and Rooted and Zooted, both operating at 4955 Lansing Road, regarding the renewal of the Special Use Permit. A motion was made by Pray and supported by Johnson to recommend to the Township Board the approval of the renewal of the Special Use Permit for a Marihuana Cultivation Facility at 4955 Lansing Road.

Roll Call:

Ayes:  Sabourin, Pisano, Johnson, Holtz, Pray, and Bowen

Nays:  None

Absent:  Fabijancic

Motion Carried.

 

A discussion was held regarding the Special Use Permit for a Commercial Marihuana Facility at 9410 Davis Highway for Path 20 / Mitten Distro X. A motion was made by Holtz and supported by Sabourin to recommend to the Township Board the renewal of the Path 20 Mitten Distro X Special Use Permit for a Commercial Marihuana Facility at 9410 Davis Highway.

Ayes:  Sabourin, Pisano, Johnson, Holtz, Pray, and Bowen

Nays:  None

Absent:  Fabijancic

Motion Carried.

 

 

The annual review was conducted for the renewal of Premier Meds LLC's Special Use Permit. A motion by Bowen, supported by Johnson, was made to recommend to the Township Board the approval of the renewal of Premier Meds LLC's Special Use Permit for a Marihuana Cultivation Facility located at 5103 Lansing Rd.

Roll Call:

Ayes:  Sabourin, Pisano, Johnson, Holtz, Pray, and Bowen

Nays:  None

Absent:  Fabijancic

Motion Carried.

 

A discussion was held regarding the site plan for Guinea Road Storage at 6690 Guinea Road. Several questions arose about the site plan, and since no representative from Old Town Property was present at the meeting to answer them, Johnson made a motion, and Bowen seconded it, to table the Guinea Road Storage discussion until someone from the project could attend to answer them. Motion Carried.

 

A discussion was held regarding the site plan for JFS Investments at 7262 Lansing Road. Several questions arose about the site plan, and since no representative from JFS Investments was present at the meeting to answer them, Holtz made a motion, and Johnson seconded it, to table the JFS Investments item until someone from the project could attend to answer questions. Motion Carried.
