WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD SPECIAL MEETING OCTOBER 24, 2025 MEETING ROOM – 9:00 AM

Supervisor Shaw called the Special Meeting to order at 9:05 AM with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: Shaw, Rumsey, Barnhart-Smith, Gardner, Pray, and Myers Absent: VanElls

Barnhart-Smith moved, and Gardner seconded to approve the agenda as written. The motion carried unanimously.

Hear Public Present for Agenda Items: Heard

The Township Board held a special meeting to discuss liability insurance and coverage for Township vehicles. For the protection of the Township and the security of Township employees, Board members emphasized the importance of selecting an insurance agent experienced with municipalities and determined that insurance coverage should be based on the vehicles themselves rather than individual drivers, thereby ensuring that the Township remains fully insured regardless of who is operating a Township vehicle.

Motion by Barnhart-Smith, seconded by Myers, to not disclose driver's license information of Windsor Charter Township elected officials, appointed officials, and employees to any outside vendors without the express approval of the Township Board and the individuals involved.

Motion carried unanimously.

For the protection of the Township and the security of its employees, motion by Barnhart- Smith, seconded by Rumsey, that the Township declines to pursue insurance coverage or quotes based on individual drivers rather than on Township-owned vehicles, while emphasizing the importance of selecting an insurance agent experienced with municipalities. It is the position of the Township that all Township vehicles shall remain insured under the Township’s policy, regardless of the individual operating the vehicle.

Motion carried unanimously.

With no further business, Supervisor Shaw adjourned the Special Meeting at 9:50 AM.
